I just had the Dish Network guy in to install a system...maybe I should just leave my doors open so the drug task force doesn't have to bust them down

I won't get on my political soapbox, BUT this is just another indication that the pendulum has swung too far in the opposite direction of the 60's - 70's legal system.

Wow. I'd be a wee bit upset if they busted my door down for that.

That would definitely suck, but it makes for a totally awesome story.

I thought it was a pretty cool tank, too, but maybe they should check the fish for traces of amphetamines

The only person to blame here is the subcontracter. As much as I would like to say the police are to blame they were just acting on a tip. If contracters want us to let them in our houses it would be smart to keep quiet unless there's some seroius business going on. That company has labeled themselves as rats and hopefully will not get any more business. If i were running that company i would make a public press conference for damage control stating that the employee was wrong and was fired immediately.

No way, the cops are the culprits. They can't just barge in every house that they get an off the wall tip about. If they did, I'd be pranking my friends all the time. lol

(mental note: don't tell Neilan where i live)

I think the cops were just a bit too anxious to find something to do in Minn. they thought they found some real crime to go after and jump on it since there wasnt any other crime going on.

The judge who approved the search warrant has a lot to be blamed for. Cops might be anxious to barge in some houses but that's why they need warrants. The judge is supposed to find enough probable cause and a contracter that smelled vinegar isnt enough lol.
