I kinda say its your fault for not looking it over well enough. But no judgement here, I've done that too. I went to buy a 30g with some goldfish in it and the water was so filthy I didn't see the back of the tank where her husband had carved in the glass some kind of stupid skateboard logo. Sometimes things are over looked and we are stuck with them. But I later on sold the tank too so I know where you're coming from.

Ok, that is hilarious.

I'm only slightly confused, if there are 7 big fish and you want them to go to a good home why if the water 5 inches low on the tank? Is there a reasonable explanation for that?

Yeah... Low water level and it looks cloudy or something. Plus, 7 piranha in one tank has got to be over stocked...

Way over stocked. No more than 3 piranhas should be in that tank

A "slow" leak. As opposed to the far more serious "fast" leak. Leak is a leak. @_@
