Pfffft, you guys are normal. I just started cycling my first 55 gallon talk and I talk to the ammonia, nitrates and nitrites. Even whisper sweet nothings to the ph, in depth conversations, begging the bio wheels to start housing bb.

I always talk to mine, every time I walk past the tank they go mad and I seem to talk to them like they're children. Strange I know but they love it and wriggle around like crazy every time I do, so it keeps us both content I guess

Lmao! Been there. Begging the ammonia to convert to nitrites then begging the nitrites to convert to nitrates. Along with telling the bio wheel it really needs to get a move on. Lol

Talking

I talk to all them at times, but talk to the cleaner shrimp (Jacques) most. He likes to jump on people's hands and arms when they are placed to to tank. I'm not a huge fan of the way that feels, so when I reach in to do something and he starts staring my hand and moving towards me, I say "stay off me Jacques" over and over. He actually listens and does stay off a lot of times! Lol

I can't say I have a conversation but I do curse at them occasionally or call them names during feeding time. I'm just too nice :p

LOL! I feel like a LOT of us curse at our fish haha. It actually makes me feel better knowing I'm not the only one. Specially since I just got bit by the little jerk doing a wc.
