Lol well the reason I ask is cause my vet told me the kind I had promotes growth too early and may result in hip displacia

Don't worry too much. Diet is more of a contributing factor, and less of a cause.

Purina is terrible food. I started feeding it to my first dog when I got her, and she would eat, barf up FULL pieces about 30 minutes later. They never digested! And she wouldn't stop chewing on her paws (corn allergies), so she/they got switched quick.

Ya, it's better on some dogs stomachs then others. My dogs eat it (but they also eat just about anything!) but I also add the trader joes organic wet food. And that's better for them!
