Customer jus bought tank it is on her shopping wagon Fish specialist to customer how big is your aquarium: customer 15g specialist: ok here are a list of fish that are suitable for your tank oscars, 100 neons, 6 plecos the list goes on here is the equipment you need sand and decor. Customer what about a filter: fish specialist oh all you don't need a filter or hood because fish will jump above the water to breathe and if you don't over feed there will never be any ammonia nitrite trAtes because nothing decays and your pleco will eat the poop. At that moment I am steaming and want to step in and give this " expert" a piece of my mind but I didn't and the lady walks out with 1 Oscar 10 guppes and 20 neons. And a pleco poor fish

Here is one from my early days of fish keeping before I found this sight and saw the light.

Sure this male female pair of jeweled cichlids will go great in your 29g tank along with your guppies, mollies, platys, common pleco, and betta. That black ghost knife fish that you like would go fine in there as well.

They were fine for about 2 weeks and then almost overnight they laid eggs and killed every other fish in the tank.

I was a sad panda. But honestly, I think they were destined to not survive anyways. I had no clue about keeping fish. I do still have the male from the jeweled cichlid pair after almost 3 years though.

A little off topic but I went to the best aquarium store yesterday I was so impressed with their tanks and equipment. They had nothing but the best stuff and on top of that the guy actually knew what he was talking about. Plus they had a return policy that required you to bring in water from your tank for testing. And you'd only be given another fish if it was found that water quality was not a problem. So nice It was in nampa idaho if anybody was wondering
