When I decided to start my first brackish tank I talked to local if manager and told him I had cycled and was ready to stock. I wanted something peaceful, that would go good with others to be added later.
Thats when he talked me into the two fig 8 puffers I now own.
Needless to say the next few fish I bought from him taught me to start doing my homework. It was sad, and I blame myself as much as him.
The happy ending is that I have had those two in that 29g tank for over two years.
They are now a tad over 2.25". I have acclimated them over time to full saltwater.
I enjoy them very much, and no longer worry that the tank is being wasted as a single species fishbowl. They are part of the family and I am setting up a 55g sw
for a community tank.
Upside #2- He just went out of business.
