First Gmail and now a calendar

Google is taking over the world!!

HAHA, First they launch the infamous 2gig email accounts bosting that you will never have to delete another email again. The fallout was much larger account space on other free services like hotmail and yahoo.

Google recently launged a new service for those with google accounts (read gmail). http://calendar.google.com Of course its still in beta but it looks very nice and I was able to import my work calendar very easily.

It looks like you can have multiple calendars and even publish some calendars to be public or semi-public (havent tried this yet) as well as share a calendar entry with another google calendar user.

Now some will go on with a fear that google is collecting all this personal data but I dont care. After all if you dont want someone knowing about it dont put it in the calendar.

Jchillin has started an aquarium
Yep, they even challenged the IM kingdom of Yahoo, MSN, et. al. with their gtalk. They recently added avatars and it's just a matter of time before smilies enter the fray.
