fish compatibility chart

I was away on a day trip yesterday and went for a look at a new lfs. While I was there a customer asked the staff what she could put in her daughter's tank with an angel fish. The staff member walked over to a chart on the wall by "aqua one" and read out a few names the chart deemed compatible. Now the only fish she stated were mollies, guppies, swordtails and platys. Seriously? Do any of your lfs play off these so called compatibility charts?
