Fujifilm S7000 a good digi cam?

Looking at upgrading my old trusty digi and getting a new Fujifilm to replace the old one i have. Some are going on ebay for pretty cheap. Anybody have any experience with this camera? Anybody else have any other suggestions?

I've never been a real fan of Fujis. We bought one about 4 years ago and we were only able to use it for about a month. Then it just shot craps. We shipped that thing back to the company on a monthly basis because it wouldn't take pics unless it was pluged into the wall. That was even after buying countless numbers of rechargable batteries and charging for days. But, we may have just gotten a bad camera.

My dad got a very nice camera for Christmas 2 years ago that takes crystal clear pics. It can be dropped into water 30 feet deep and will still be usable. It's a Pentax Optio 33WR. It doesn't look like a snazzy camera, but works amazingly.

Last year my brother got a Kodak that takes amazing pictures also.

I had one, worked fine and took some fine photos with it. [acronym:46e6763404="In my opinion"]IMO[/acronym:46e6763404], to get the best from this cam you need to be willing to spend some time in photoshop with them, if your not willing to do that...you'll still get some nice photos but they may exhibit some noise.
