Sorry, I usually sit back and let others have a turn ... but I was bored with what I was doing at work! I'll let you post again floridafishman, as I probably won't get a chance to do anything for a while. Glad you are keeping them. It looks like a nice fish, though probably not a good one to keep with smaller species. I'm thinking of trying some my local small serranids ... such as Hypoplectrodes maccullochi ... which I'm guessing would be fairly similar to keep to your local S. subligarius. Hypoplectrodes

Here's a hint:
this fish is very pretty when it's young but it has a nasty habit when it's older.
