Help with chat? - Aquarium Advice

I can't seem to install the Java stuff to use the chat. I'm using Windows Vista, and when I try to install it I get an error message. I use Firefox as my browser.

Im sorry.

I dont have a PC powerful enough to run vista worth a darn so I have no idea how to get it working with vista if anything special needs to be done. You can always download mIRC and configure that. There are directions linked from the chat page.

Aw jeez. Just another reason that I'm sorry my laptop came with Vista preloaded! I tried a little bit with the mirc download, but I'm not the most computer-savvy....

Did you get mirc downloaded? After that, it's simply a matter of going into the server list, finding FDFNet and the joining the chat server. Find me on YIM one time and I'll talk you through it. It's much easier that way, and IRC is a lot more conveinent than the java chat.
