here is the situation. I have had dishnet for several years and really never thought about putting it on more than one tv. When the installer came, he put a splitter outside the window, one cable goes to the living room with the tv and receiver. another cable came into my bedroom and has just lay wadded up behind a bookcase. I would not mind the fact that I had to change the channel in the living room, so what do I do to get reception on the bedroom tv. Everything I have read says that you can have as many tv's as you want ran off of the one receiver as long as you watch the same programming. Yet when I hook the cable up, I get nada.
I am sure I am overlooking something obvious..but what is it?

The cable to the second room needs to be run from the video out of the receiver in your main room to the video in of your second room. Then you should see everything you can see in your main room. If you run it from the splitter you will need a separate receiver in your second room, but you would be able to watch two different programs. Of course that would mean added expense. HTH

ok, that makes sense, I guess the guy assumed that one day I would just get another receiver. Thanks.
