correct me if i'm wrong, but i thought honey gourami is a species from the dwarf gourami group

Yes honey gouramis are known as Colisa chuna

I'm getting two different responses here...

I'm going to be getting new fish in a few days so I guess I have to make up my mind then. However, HG do seem more compatible for my tank.

Try go to pets plus or kalihi pets. They sell both species.

Thank you! I heard that they're reliable, so that's another plus. And their hours are fairly reasonable. The only thing is, is that it's on the far end of where I live lol (1 hour drive).

I will check them out though.

I suggest flame dwarf gouramis! I've never had flames but they're beautiful! I have dwarf gouramis and their males so, naturally, they fight. I'm returning the meaner male and getting two females. My friend has two makes and five females and they've never hurt anyone else before! Remember, every fish has a different personality. Fred, one of my males is very timid and swims gracefully. On the other hand, George, my other male gets territorial when after swims by and darts to nip his feelers. :/ When you go to your LFS, watch the dwarf gouramis (if you're still interested) and see which are more aggressive than the others.
