Hot hot hot

It is almost 90 degrees here today and it is HOT. The apt building that I live in is 105 years old so naturally it only has window AC units. Well, ours is broke. The AC at my office is also broke. I can't wait for winter to get here. At least then you can just wrap up in a cover. I made excuses four times today to leave the office so I could drive around in my car with the AC on full blast.

At wal-mart they have this little fans for about $5 (They are grey/dark grey and are "Duracraft" brand) and they are AMAZING for such a small inexpensive fan.

We have two (one for each night stand for when we sleep). I definatly recommend getting one if they have them there.

It's hot here, too... I couldn't imagine having no AC right now.

We are heading to Wal-Mart tonight to get some fans for the apt. But that doesn't do too much when the air in the room is hot. lol My boss just called me at home and asked why I left work. Uhhh, because I about passed out sitting at the computer thats why. We totally bypassed spring here in the Mid-West. It went straight from winter to summer.

71 ?!?!?!?!?! Thats NICE weather here in Texas. We pray for 71 =oP

Fishyfanatic- you would be surprized how powerful those little suckers are. When my bedroom would be 80 in my room at my apt (poor circulation from room to room), that fan would do WONDERS. Ive had fans that just blow hot air... but this one makes the air cool. And, it helps when you point it towards your face.

It's the best $5 Ive ever spent on a fan =o)

It hit 77 here in WV today, and like you Tim, it's to hot to fast. I live in a 94yr old house and rely on window air conditioners as well. I hate the thought of having to put them in already. I remember as a kid me and my sistes freezing our butts off getting pictures taken in the yard on Easter morning with our new easter dresses. Now I'm thinking it's time for air conditioning before Easter. lol Just seems wrong.

I'm with Fluff. It got to 78F here today as well. Sunday it was 29F and I watched people scrape ice off their windows. Summer is fast approaching, I was hot today! Luckily, my house has central air...but those fans from wal-mart are awesome!

100 here today. And now begins our 6+ months of 100+ degree days. AC works fine and I installed an attic fan a couple of months back so hopefully the electric bills stay under $300/month.
