How did you hear about Aquarium Advice? - Page 15 - Aquarium Advice

Well this is a very long thread, I simply don't have the time right now to read. But I am so glad to have found it!

I was just gifted a 55 gallon tank, it was freshwater but I bought a heater and turned it into a tropical. Anyway found you guys on Google.

I'm learning so much here and having fun getting to know y'all!

Hilariously enough, I was on Fat Wallet looking for deals and just for the heck of it I saw a 10 for $10 deal on fish from PetSmart. One of the posters must have been a member and mentioned how bad the deal was (for the fish) and that if people wanted to learn about fish to check out this site. Now I'm hooked...

Typed in "aquarium" and "forum" into a search engine and it came up.

The guy at my LFS said to join a forum. He said it would be the best place to go for current up to date and helpful info. I was at the time just reading books. Basically I went home and googled saltwater aquarium forums. I signed up for three originally not knowing which one I would like. I have to say this was the one that seemed to have to most helpful and non-judgemental people. I felt comfortable asking questions. So thanks to all of you who made my decision easy.

When my new aquarium started going downhill (and I didn't know why - what's a "cycle"? LOL) I typed something like "advice new aquariums" into Google and I found you! After about 10 minutes of lurking, I registered. Been here ever since and FAST approaching 100th post!
