There's a new place in town, not an all around pet store but one specifically for fish! Yay!
I've been job searching for awhile. I work at a tribal casino and while I make more than minimum wage hourly, I don't get 40 hour like I used to. New management, we rarely get 30 hours a week. So basically, I'll take a lower wage if it means I can pay my bills, and even more so if it is a job that I can enjoy.
So about this LFS. It's an expansion of a store they have an hour away. Due to rental agreement issues they might move about 30 minutes south, which is fine because my boyfriend works in that town now so we'll either carpool or move if that's the case. We've already offered to help them move the tanks and everything if they do move, and she offered us store credit for our work if it came down to that.
As it is, this local store is closed three days a week due to her not living here. As such, she brings the fish to and fro with get, making for kind of a limited selection.
I'm thinking of offering to come in after work and feed the fish and clean tanks and so on so they can stay there and volunteer on my days off. I can afford to do this for the chance at a job or even just the learning experience because my boyfriend is going to work for the season 7 days a week 12 hour days.
What do you think? Any ideas/advice? Thanks.
