How do you feel?

I suppose if you really wanted to, you can. My preference is to scrape, because the algae looks bad to me. But you don't have to.
 
Yeah. My parents don't care whether I have plants. I have one java fern.

My parents also think I'm obsessed.
 
Just as a question but I get what you mean about a cheap plant but don't you want to be able to see your fish if it was me I would scrape it off the front and sides but leave it on the back for the plants and it adds a natural backdrop too
 
I liked the looks of my long hair I had growing on the back of my tank.. but you have to watch it or it does its best to take over
 
Told them somthing along the same lines. I think they don't like them because it would involve me keeping the lightt on longer than usual now that I think about it.

There's several plant species that you can keep in ambient room light. I have some tanks with plants that don't have any light on them at all. they don't grow fast, but they stay alive. Java moss and java ferns work great for this.

I use plants in all of my tanks to help keep up water quality.


Just an idea, but if they are against it I don't know what to tell ya lol.
