How do you feel?

How do you guys feel about letting algae grow on the glass in a freshwater tank?

I suppose if you really wanted to, you can. My preference is to scrape, because the algae looks bad to me. But you don't have to.

I leave mine because my parents think plants foul the water... Yea I've showed them countless articles that say to the contrary... And for me it gives it kind of a natural look.

Yeah. My parents don't care whether I have plants. I have one java fern.

My parents also think I'm obsessed.

Just as a question but I get what you mean about a cheap plant but don't you want to be able to see your fish if it was me I would scrape it off the front and sides but leave it on the back for the plants and it adds a natural backdrop too

plants foul the water? do plants foul the air? They actually help clean the water (and the air).
