I have three in one tank and 4 in each of the other 2. Each of the three tanks is a 10 gal. They don't eat the moss ball itself, but it tends to trap little bits of this and that and the fish and or shrimp like to go over and graze any little tidbits that gets caught such as food or whatever. It is a live type of algea that naturally grows in the round ball shape. Just turn it about once a week so that all sides get exposed to the light in order to avoid getting a dead spot. I love them. They will increase in size very slowly. AlisonAnyone ever use one of these?
I'm not familiar with them but the lady at the LFS said it is like a natural filter and they feed off of it??
