How to find local clubs?
I've heard of local aquarium clubs in several cities, but none in Charleston SC. I'm sure it's a good sign that there isn't one when Google can't turn up anything, but that isn't automatically true. Anybody know where else I might check?

Check your lfs. Not PetsMart or any other national chains. Your local mom and pop store. Most clubs will put up a flyer in the store. Or just simply ask the owner. If there is one in the area, they will know about it.

Did you try posting an inquiry on the local regional forum here? There seems to be a couple of clubs in N.C., perhaps you can contact someone from those and see if they know of anyone in S.C.
