I'm down with that. Careful of the language, young fish reading this. I had a tomato clown that use to beat me up anytime I was stupid enough to invade his hood. Should have called him Dr. No. Man those suckers can bite.

I had a 9" common pleco named Dr. Zoidberg. Whenever he was interested in/upset by something, his sailfin flared up. It was all I could do not to lol when my kid, completely unaware of how wrong it sounded, said it was because it was aroused.

Yesss, exactly! It has a red bottom! LOL!

Alpha male Black Phantom tetra: Richard (well actually its a nickname for Richard)
I started calling my espei rasboras Vick and McCoy, cuz they not that big but still fast When I get the next 3 they will be called Jackson, Maclin, and Celek until I get bored and just start calling them all Espei.

When I had my salt tank I had Krzyzewski the Blue Devil Damsel.
My regular Oscillaris was of course Nemo and the black and white Oscillaris was Ninja Nemo.

Its kind of an accepted myth in the goldfish world that its bad luck to name goldies. So far, its proven true so I leave the names to my 3yr old.... fat fish, little pig, big pig, piglet, black fish, orange fish, little girl, fair fish, etcetcetc.

I haven't named my fish (2 platy females), but my friend did. The one that tries to jump and flails around when moved in a net or in a small bowl is Ariel, and the one that hides in my decorative castle is Beth (Little Women reference, for the curious).
