Well, I'm gonna make this short. Since Nov 2004 I've been seeing doctors for a tumor. Getting to see the right specialist and getting squeezed into a very busy schedule has taken forever. The specialist I'm seeing told me it looks suspicious and he wanted a biopsy done. Weeks later, this past Friday, I finally have it done. For the last four days I've been going nuts waiting for the results. I got a call today and the tumor us benign!!!! :multi: :multi: :multi: :multi:

I'm in such a good mood, I think I'll let hubby take me out tonight an buy me a fish. :p

I'm still facing surgery to have it removed but, bah, that's nothin. Right? lol

Yay me!!!

:smilecolros: :smilecolros:

That's great news. Don't take the surgery too lightly, as any surgery has risk, but be overwhelmed that it's not cancer.

How soon til surgery?

way to go, but surgery, eeww

what if they leave the scalper where the tumor used to be

LOL i was watching a show on TLC about mistakes in surgery and they left all sorts of thing in patients bodies

I'm not taking the surgery lightly and am not looking forward to it. But, considering what I could have been facing....
I've been warned already that due to it's location, there is a major nerve that runs through it that could get severed. But, I'm not thinking about that right now. I'm just so happy it wasn't cancer.
I'm not sure when surgery will be but it's probably gonna keep me from going to meet everyone in Baltimore. They told me it would be next week or later til they call me in just to talk to me about the surgery. Not sure why they need to do that but, I'll go talk to him again. Then it could be weeks again before it gets done. So, I may be in Baltimore, but not at the aquarium. :? To soon for me to tell though.

Congrats on the good news, Cindy! You must feel a bit lighter in the shoulders?

Wahooooooooooo!!!

:multi:

I'm relieved to know the tumor is benign. Although you face possible surgery for the tumor...it is a relief to know.

Go out to dinner...have a good time. Kiss the kids.

That is really good news! I have been there myself so I know what a relief it is! Don't worry about the surgery. I am sure the docs will take very good care of you. Have a lovely day with your husband!

Cindy, that is a relief! I've been through the "doctor runaround" for allergies so I know that you're relieved to finally have an answer and that it is good news! :multi: Like Meredith says, the doctors will take good care of you! Don't worry about the surgery! We'll be thinking of you too!

Im so glad to hear the good news!
I had a big scare with some reproductive parts... turned out to be nothing but just a "big scare" I know how un-nerving waiting for those tests can be...
Im glad all is well, and dont worry about the surgery... God will watch over you, and keep you safe. Balt. has some awsome hospitals & such... you will be fine

HEY!!! I have a great idea everyone, if Cindy is still in Balt. when were there, lets forget the dolphin show and, all go terrorize the hosp!!! We can check out her new stichs!!! hehe...kidding...
I'll be praying for ya lady!!!

Congrats! The surgery will be a piece of cake. And this is coming from someone who has had 5 surgeries in the past 4 years due to tumors and such. It will be over before you know it! And just think, during recovery you can spend all that time watching your fish. :D

Thank you, thank you, thank you. :D :D :D

I'm not so worried about the surgery. It took a few tries but I finally did get one of the best tumor/cancer doctors around.

Melody, a trip to John Hopkins Hospital would take a day in itself. That place is huge! It's like a small city unto itself. lol When I had my first consult with him, he said it would be an outpatient surgery so hopefully it will be a few hours, then I can go home.

And speaking of fish Fishyfanatic, I'm off to go see what I can find. lol Thanks again everyone. :D

heck, buy yourself a tank while your at it, a nive 1200 gal tank!

Thats wonderful news! You have my prayers for a complication free surgery and a speedy recovery! :jump: :multi:

Thanks again. lol

Well, I didn't come home with a 1200 gal tank but, got something almost as nice. lol Check him out.

ahhh! what is wrong with it?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
