I recognize several of those images (at least) as Takashi Amano's work. Hopefully the images were used with Mr. Amano's permission. Check out his Nature Aquarium World series, he gives you the specs and equipment on every tank.
 
My advice would be getting a amazon sword plant they are easy and also look affective. I've got one all you don't need to do a lot, if you break of the leaves which look brown or have holes in them. They grow back very fast and my snail loves them.

Severum_mama I was curious is his Nature Aquarium World Series the book series? I looked online and that is all I found. I wasn't sure if there was a website for it.
