ID game

Post a rare or relatively unknown fish and see if we can figure it out.

Rules-

Don't post another fish until the one before is correctly IDed.

Don't post about about a fish that has already been previously IDed.

Let the games begin!

Yup it's a masturus lanceolatus. Hmm. I thought that one was going to be hard !

Hehe i love these its a molamola if that is how its spelt also known as ocean sunfish. They can weigh up to 1 ton! spend most of their time in the deep parts of the ocean feeding on jellyfish only coming to higher water for a bit of a rest while little reef fish pick parasites of its body.

We saw them from time to time at a fishing pier on the gulf when I was a teenager.
