I'm excited!!!

Okay, back in May I applied to become the sales director at my university's student run radio station. I got the job, and I was very nervous because my only experience with sales was at a retail clothing store. Well, since May, I've made a total of $9,000 with my most recent being $3000!!!! You're probably thinking this isn't very much, but just to give you an idea, last year's sales director made $2000 total for the station. Anyway, making all the money isn't the best part, it is the fact that my station can now buy the new operating system/computer that we DESPERATELY needed and on top of that, the Alumni has decided that since we've done so much work in turning the station around (getting it back to where is was when we were given the award of best college station in the nation) they are buying us a brand new digital board, which is replacing our current board that dates back to 1972!! It is soooooo pretty!! It feels good to know that this equipment came from the hardwork of my friends and colleagues. Well, I just had to share the good news. I'm very proud of our little station, and I'll definitely miss it when I graduate in a year and a half.

*edit* [acronym:fc7d4f5f68="By the way"]btw[/acronym:fc7d4f5f68], if you are ever driving through Boone, North Carolina, check out WASU-FM 90.5, cause that is my station.

Alright then. I'm always looking for high powered sales people. Give me a ring when you're out of school.

Hey Brian, are you currently looking for any high powered protein biochemists?

thanks guys

BrianNY, I'm already looking at NY for when I get out of school. My step-uncle has some contacts up there which he wants to introduce me to. So maybe I'll be able to get an albino bushy nosed pleco and one of the soon to be famous BrianNY Discus . I think I'll be visiting around easter time to make sure it is where I want to be, but I've always wanted to live in a big city since I was little. (You'll have to give me a list of fish stores to check out so I know which one to live near ) My picks (in no specific order) are Seattle, Boston, and New York. I've been to the first two and fell in love with those cities, but Seattle is too far away from my family and I'd like to be able to see them a couple times a year if possible.

Anyway, thanks again everyone, this job was something I didn't know if I'd be able to do, but I had a lot of fun and now I definitely feel a lot better about myself and my abilities.
