I'm gonna be an aquarium handler! :D

Hey all,

Im back for a bit with a tank full of diatoms....
Its been a while since i've gone on AA and ALOT has happened. My internet is indefinitly out of service and has been for the past 2 months. I have managed to finally logon AA on school internet though!

Anyway, since I am in year 10 I am doing work experience. Initially I was doing work exp at an architecture firm, but they cancelled on me. :s but i got the next best thing! The local aquarium shop has accepted me to do work experience as an AQUARIUM HANDLER. Full working hours, 5 days sep 5-9. So I will be able to gaze and care for the fish at the lfs for one school week instead of going to school and doing maths!

Im so excited but it is such a long way away....... Ill keep updating on my progress an usually, hopefully, work experience providers will offer students a free little gift.

Cool!! Congrats. Nothings better than doing something you like. Have fun!
Fish are friends, not food

We weep for the bird's cry, but not for the blood of a fish. Blessed are those who have voice.

Sounds real good blucat. I'm sure you will enjoy and especially since you will have an opportunity to see the "back room" of the LFS and learn a great deal from it.

Just a word of caution. You have a ton of knowledge at your disposal. You may run into some folks who are doing something you know is wrong. Be tactful when you speak to them about it. You can teach them something they didn't know.

I am really excited. What do you think I will be doing? I hope it is more of just sitting around watching fish rather than cleaning fish tanks....... But maybe i will score some free stuff!
