Just had a problem at Lowe's My day today, what do you think

Just had a problem at Lowe's..Do you have one of these? Its a hardware store. I wanted some "black-eye susans" Cool looking flower. I had the two boys with me and started looking for them and could not find them.
Sometimes they have them else where so I went to the front and they were all busy.
I stood in line to ask my question to be polite...Because I could not find anyone and with the boys and my bad hip and knee its not an option to go all over the place...
Another customer was waiting for someone to tell him what he can purchase to kill the clover taking over his garden. He replied this is not rocket scientist!
Another lady said, " This is why I shop at Home Depot" She said this holding a weed waker line refill. that was the only reason why she got it there because of the gas prices!....When I got to the woman she said "really rude!" You need to go over there and ask...........
So just to see if someone could help me I waited to see the other girl who was like I dont know where they are......."HELLO this is your store you work in and you cant tell me anything...or call someone if you do not know!!!!!!!!!!!!!" She called someone and said,"Nope dont have them right now"
I was so mad because I waited, with my kids to get this kind of service...So my Italian temper came out and I went to speak with a manager.......He in return did nothing like........Your business is very important to us let me give you a gift certificate or, here is a coupon.......Nothing for my time wasted at the store! By no means am I saying give me hand outs but at least help the costumer to feel better after being so frustrated........In which I was not the only person at that time who went to the same manager because of this.....I was in customer service for 13 years......................And never did I ever see this kind of sorriness! I was so angry....Can you tell!!!???

What would you have done? And what can be done? Or what is your opinion?

by all means let me know.......It might calm me or frustrate me more.............

I'd be like the other woman and go to HD.
I allways see employees walking around looking for confused soles like myself, and offer to help. at least here. I can't speak for stores near you.

Contact Lowes corprate and give them the store number of your store (if you have a recept from the store it will have it listed usually) or just give them the state/city your in and they can get the info that way. Inform corporate of the rude and utter lack of respect given to you and other customers of that store.

I found the following on their website.

https://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?acti...ustomerService or for more info on how to contact http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?actio...opic=contactUs

I called lowes corp headquarters for her. I got the district managers name and phone number. They keep asking if they could help me. I told them I am not about to get in the way of this. Told them they would understand if they saw my wife when she left there. .Lowe's new headquarters is actually about 30 minutes away from our house in Mooresville. I toured it a little over a year ago after a job offer.

I have both a Lowe's and Home Depot within 5 minutes of me. I usually do prefer to go to the Home Depot, but I've had no bad experiences at Lowe's. I agree with fishfreek - look at those links he gave or sometimes there is an 800 number on receipts asking how the service was. I don't know if Lowe's in particular has an 800 number for complaints, but a lot of stores do these days.

Its good to hear someone followed up with corporate. I really get tired of hearing people complain just to complain but never follow thru with the right people to get something done. Its like someone who complains about political policy yet does not vote themselves.

well, let me tell ya.....I went to senators and the Govenor of a state that my xi- husband lived in, with complaints of child support. I got them to call me personally and the day of the trial was a shocker..The govenor wrote a letter on my behalf and stated the rules my ex will comply too or jail.....

So I do follow through...

Walmart, put one wrong tire on my car.......Yes my fault for not checking everything.......but they did it. well, I went to another walmart and with the name and phone number of the original stores manager saying just take it off and put a new one on and giver her a free oil change- the works.........The manager there said well, I cant put you in front of all these customers who have waited an hour or more because of this! This was in front of everyone waiting...I was so embarrassed! To say the least!!! I out loud...Italian in me again.... Said," does anyone mind me going ahead of you this is what they did not my fault not yours but, does anyone mind"! Everyone said let her go ahead of me and so on. Individuals came up to me and said '" Wow that was so uncalled for"

This manager came up to me and apologized on the spot.........No way I said!!!! I want the store manager right now! Needless to say even other employes thanked me for them firing his butt!!!!!!!!!!

Dont mess with me if you wrong me is my modo and so be it....

I say if I spend money in a place and I am respectable to you as an customer then I expect the same from you.......

All your advice and opinions are great! I will be following up on this and I will let ya know what happens...........Till then post on.Let me hear your stories.........comments....or suggestions
