Hara,
Interesting article... I have seen mantis shrimp at least that large off the coast of Florida (Mayport) ...When I worked on a shimp trawler, we used to drag them up in the nets all the time...we never measured them of course, at that time we called them cockroaches of the ocean...some of them I swear were as long as my forearm. very bright green and yellow. Very mean though...I got hurt by them many times... |
