I would be cautious, as a fish could swim by and have the beam hit his eye, causing eye damage. Just be careful, I would say.

My ocellaris clownfish do this, but only at night. The male does so more than the female. The pajama cardinals will lunge after it if it gets close enough. it amuses me.

I caught a spider today... just normal safe house spider... so in the tank he went. My b. splendens will have a live treat today.

yes I have had my fish chase the little red dot, but now I'm wondering if it could be harmful could I use it as an aiptasia removal device, hmmmm might have to give it a try

I get board easily, I don't do it often. Like I said its on the thermometer.
