Let's see your Yard Lizards

I live in a rural area, to give a for instance, my oldest sone just graduated from High School...he had a graduating class of 23. So...I'm out in my front yard Sun. and I'm looking around and thinking, wonder what other people find in their front yards. I went and got the camera and decided to show you my yard lizard.

We have a small natural pond in our front yard, it is about 24" deep in the center at the height of the rainy season, for several months out of the year it stays dry. We've gotten alot of rain over the last week, sun shined yesterday , and the pond is about 2/3 full. My wife noticed what she thought to be a snake slithering into the pond and it turned out to be our 48" friend here. He has since relocated himself.

Wow! Makes me glad I don't have a front yard! The most we see are hummingbirds, oh and possums but I don't think I'll be able to get a pic of them.

wow, I'd freak if that was anywhere close to my house!

Yep, the Nikon is a very nice camera and has done a good job for me, I like to think though that one of the things that make the pic good, are the photographer :P

So let's see some of ya'lls. Go out there and take some pics!!

Reefrunner what kind of photography experience do you have? These are excellent photos. Which Nikon do you have? I've always been a Canon guy but I've definitely been lusting after an N90 for years. Nowadays I guess it'd be an N100. The last two photos of the white flowers, opening up the aperture by a half stop or so would really make the white look vibrant. Great job!
