wooooow, nice setup. Is there going to be some before and after pics? 8)

Sure! I will have time on the before, because the cable hanging kit is missing the threded cable gliders. :( So now I have to call sunlight supply. darn.

RUH ROH RAGGY. That stinks, what they didn't get shipped with the product or where they lost during transport? I always crossed my fingers when ordering stuff just because of stuff like that happening. Good Luck

the hanger kit was sealed, so obviously they were not packaged with the kit. I Emailed the company. chanses are they send them out pretty quick.

well the parts are ordered. i got some chain to hang temporarily. here is a pic without the flash.

Looks good. How much brighter are they than what you had on there previously? :)

lots. I took a befor pic, but i didn't adjust the white balance, so couldn't really tell. ten times brighter. Put it to you this way. on the first pic the camera picked a shutter speed on a 30th of a sec. 200th on the after pic

Thats definitely going to change my mind on the next light purchase. WoW

That is one serious lighting unit...very nice...I can just imagine the differences you will be seeing after even two weeks with that baby.

well they are nice, but I have now run intoi another problem. 1/2 thru the day I changed my lights, when I had the strip lights on the tank was at 83 deg. After, it shot up to 85.5 deg. so I turned the whites off, and it continued to climb to 86 deg. Now I have to save for a chiller. 8O

I thought that t-5's were supposed to run cooler than other flourescents, oops maybe not cooler than NO. How far above the tank do you have the fixture suspended?

well it's about 4" above the tank. but this morning I put a fan on the shelf next to it to kinda blow between the tank top and the bulbs, and it stays much cooler now. only 82 now. here are some pics.
