Live moss ball stuck to tank glass

Ow. The gravel hurts my eyes.

The brown stuff? Probably fine. I believe they are just giant clumps of a specific type of algae.

Supposedly you can cut off the brown part if it spreads or bothers you.

No I ment is it normal for it to stick to the side of the tank? Normally it just sat at the bottom...
