Hey guys,

I just thought I would share my new Craigslist find. This is what I belive to be a 95 gallon wave front aquarium. I'm so stoked. I got everything for $30. Yeah, it needs some major TLC but it will be a fun project. It's structurally sound and not broken anywhere just dirty. The stand does need to be re built some. And I can definitely clean it up. Lol went from a 36 gal to a 55 and now 95. ? Or at least what I belive to be a 95. It was advertised as a 60+ gallon but it's way bigger. I can bairly find any info on this tank. If anyone knows anything about it could you let me know? Thanks!

That's a real steal! I've seen them at PetCo a while back. You might want to just do the base measurements and just not include the wave part in the front and find out the gallonage, and then kind of guesstimate from there. No idea how to a actually find it though.

Normally you would do:

Width(a) height(b) and length(c)

Volume = a x b x c = ?

That's for a regular rectangular prism.

This could be considered an irregular prism?

In which case you would just go by:

Base x height = volume.

In this case... Base would be the width like above and height would be the length of the curved edge.

It's 9:30am and technical calculations class isn't clicking this early. If could be close or completely off ;)

There's always the bucket method....4-5g at a time till it's filled and count how much you used lol

Lol thanks. I will probably do that calculation. I did the whole bucket thing with my 55 irregular shaped tank I also got on Craigslist but I got tired doing that! I was guestimating 95 gal from what I've seen online trying to look them up.
