Mega mouth shark

Went to our local maritime museum yesterday and found this mega mouth shark it was found about an hour away from where I live in 1988 and has been preserved ever since apparently there have only ever been 50 sightings of them

I live in hawaii where most sightings occur but I've never seen one. It's really sad.
