Mice: bad news and good news...
The bad news is that my pet mice are getting old and dying off one by one. They are at least two years old and may even be 2 and a half - a pretty respectable lifetime for a mouse. Of the original four, I only have one left.
The good news is that I have just purchased a fancy mouse. She is incredibly friendly and inquisitive. She is also extremely preggo, as you can see in the second picture. I am expecting her to deliver a litter of 6 - 10 pups within a week or so. Once the pups are weaned, I will separate the sexes, lest I end up with mice up to my eyeballs! |

[acronym:53a4c48228="Laughing out loud"]LOL[/acronym:53a4c48228], no cats allowed around here - not with all these mice and fish! Wouldn't a cat have a ball in my apartment, tho? A true gourmet kitty buffet!
The new mouse's name is Cardamom. I'm really bad with naming animals. The first mouse I ever had was named Mischief after she climbed into my subwoofer and refused to come out for nearly a day. I finally coaxed her out with peanut butter and overripe bananas. When I brought home her three sisters, I realized I was going to have a dilemma naming them, so to make my life easier, I decided to name them after the spices in my spicerack. I'm up to Cardamom, which is appropriate since this mouse is going to be a mom pretty soon. |

She is absolutely adorable....sorry to hear of the other mice too. I have 2 -four year old spiny mice (well one is about 3 1/2, father & son) Will you be keeping them all?
