not too many days til I'm supposed to be moved out of here and things aren't finished yet... It's been a long day. Started out with my youngest daughter supposedly haveing a doctors appt... The card we have on the fridge says a7-6-04 and the receptionist is the one that wrote it. We called last the other day and this morning because we wanted to make sure medicaid is still covering her... well their answering machine says they'll be out of the office til wednesday the 7th...? Well, even though we aren't usually out of bed til after ten AM I had to send my wife there with my daughter anyway just to make sure no one was there... Sure enough, there wasnt. Then I started trying to figure things out with the house. Septic still not done but flags are up... well people haven't even looked at the land yet... I called them several times today the last time telling them I was desperate and it NEEDED to be done this week... Then comes electricity... I finally got a hold of the company I think I'll be dealing with... They say " you need to come in(45 minutes away) and fill out an application 30 days(what) before you need service and deposit $175" I called the guy selling the house and he says "their probably just covering their buts, it wont take that long" So I call the electric company again and say are you sure, 30 days? They say yes... there are hundreds of applications ahead of mine... I tell them I need to be in the house this week and they say that it's not possible... At any rate I have to get up early tomorrow, see if I can find a neighbor and get their name and address, then drive way out to the electric co I'll be using to fill out an application and do some more begging I guess... not looking forward to any of it... Even though the other stuff isn't done yet the guy selling everything is still saying we could move in by the end of the week... We just might not have electricity... So I guess I might be borrowing a generator or something from someone because there's some things I just NEED electricity for... like a refrigorator... It sure would be nice to find a real cheap solar electric system and not have to rely on the electric company at all... Oh, and of course at one point when I'm on the phone with a friend talking/complaining about this, my 3 yr old decided she needs to pee in the middle of the living room... My mom just says "worrying isn't going to help you any..." I know, I know.. It will work out, eventually... til then it's really killing me... keeping me a little on edge and quite tired.

Hey Millipede. I'm sorry to hear about your continuing woes. One of the se days you'll be able to look back at this and laugh. (just not tomorrow) Just keep the faith, and a way will be made.

I can't see myself laughing anytime soon... but I do know that once it's all settled life will be great... I'll persevere the best I can

Millipede, sorry for all your troubles. I think this is an excellent opportunity for all of us who volunteered on your prayer thread to say some prayers for you and your family!

I put in the application for electricity today... Had to drag the kids out for a nice 45 minute ride, on top of the other stops along the way... Even notice when you're stressed that just about anything is more annoying than usual? Well when I walked in I realized I knew the lady that takes the applications... I met her at her church at a "singing" and she's been to my friends church at least once... She asked if I'd be going to any of the other "singings" as there seems to be one at some place at least every week... I told her I'd try but things are crazy... at any rate, she's still saying it could easily take a month to get service out there. She looked like she wanted to say it could be quicker, but she wouldn't. And when I asked if it could take longer than a month, she couldn't say... Well, I'm quite sure the loan isn't going to close until the meter loop is setup and the bank is really pushing to close... so it looks like I'll be moving this weekend to somewhere and then once the electricity is setup we can move into the house. We can move most of the things we don't need in the next month into the house so that will make the second move a little easier, but still, this isn't fun at all. A few people have asked why I don't just ask my current landlord to give me a break... well I've been asking him since April and I'm quite sure he's tired of it. I don't even want to mention it to him. I went over there tonight to borrow the classifieds and told them why... they didn't say anything... oh well. I'm sending my wife over there tomorrow to ask them if they know anyone with an apartment, possibly with utilities, in the area... and if there is any sign of them giving us more time I'll have her ask and say that any painting and such we will do ALL of it... I mentioned that once before but he's paranoid that I can't paint a house while kids are running around in it... Sure I can... Especially if it's a weekend and my wife is here to help... Oh well... Like I said before... when it's all over things will be great... til then
And my mom and two younger sisters are coming from Massachusetts to visit towards the beginning of next month, if the electricity isn't turned on by then, my mom wont come here just to stay in a hotel...

I've been looking at solar and wind stuff online and some are looking very appealing and not tooooo unaffordable... but just unaffordable enough that it isn't going to happen. For around ten to twelve grand a person can purchase a system that should be quite sufficient... only problem being the lack of 10-12 grand... oh well... someday... One selling point that some of the companies use is that with the electric company still connected to your house, if you're solar/wind system produces more electricity than you use, in some places the electric company will pay you for the excess you produce... Anyway, no time soon but I sure like doing things as environmentally friendly as possible... anyway... between me having [acronym:83ff9aaf42="Normal Output Fluorescents"]NO[/acronym:83ff9aaf42] idea of when the electricity being setup and the well not even being started til Saturday... my landlord still wants us out so sometime this weekend I am stuck looking for another place to live for an unknown temporary amount of time... I'm going to go crazy sometime soon... I may end up without this phone line which means no internet access and no Aquarium Advice for a while... we'll see what happens... Anyone have any idea how much gasoline a generator would use when being used pretty much all day?
