I don't know the proper care of electric eels. I've never researched them before. When he said that a 30 gal breeder tank was adequate, I thought it stood out as being kind of off. How large of a tank do they need, if they can be kept in captivity?

I think that is sad about the eels... yeh they live in streams and murky water, but at least they can do more than turn in circles in the wild!!!

I would keep a 6' electric in no less than 300 gallon long aquarium, and would prefer more like 850-1000 gallons....with bogwood, etc.

I dunno about 'sad' in itself, but at at $1220 CDN starting bid, plus

"Can ship to Canada but there is an extra $150 charge per shipment for documentation and inspections before shipping.Domestic shipping in the US should be about $65-80 depending on destination"

...I could have that ray for the low, low price of about $1600CDN...ouch.
