Hmm, ok. Well, I was gonna post something obscure like something from Clishmaclaver or laid back like Dr. John cause I couldn't think of anything "normal" so, I asked my daughter to name a song. lol Here ya go. Shouldn't be hard.

Ready for the big time, ready for the small
Whatever's comin' to me, I'll be ready for it all
Sometimes it ain't easy, sometimes its not polite
Some days I don't get it, some days I get it right

Awww, come on.
It's been 12+ hrs without a guess? You are going to let a 9yr old girl best you all? lol (the 9yr old girl is a hint. think like a 9yr old)

Well, your original post made me think it was Brittney or Christina, et al, but without Googling, I'd never know the actual artist/song. :)

No, it's not either of them. I can't think of a hint that wouldn't totally give it away so, I'll give it a full 24 hrs and post something else.

How about, your right that it is a female artist.

Well, it's been 24hrs and I hate holding up a game so, the song was "Girl Can Rock" and Morticus, your up.

This artist debuted in the late 60's, he was popular throughout the 70's and 80's. Many of his songs were sung in portuguese in a 2004 film. This song was originally sung in a rainbow jumpsuit.

thanks...

nice and easy one for everyone...

im feelin' like a dog in heat
barred indoors from the summer's street
i locked the door to my own cell and i lost the key

I was thinking Ziggy Stardust on the one above, but never posted it.... Oh well.

I let the current one sit overnight, to let someone else get it, but since no one has.... :)

Green Day - Longview

Which, they didn't play on SNL last night... ;-)

The new album is great, BTW.

Anyway..... um....

Not a radio mainstay, but we'll see if anyone gets this....

...Eight, eight, I forget what eight was for and
Nine, Nine, Nine for a lost God and
Ten, Ten, Ten, Ten, for EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING

OK - I'll fill out the rest of that part of the song, and if no one gets it, I'll try a different song...

I take one, one, one cause you left me and
Two, two, two for my family and
Three, three, three for my heartache and
Four, four, four for my headaches and
Five, five, five for my lonely and
Six, six, six for my sorrow and
Seven, seven n-n-n-no tomorrow and
Eight, eight, I forget what eight was for and
Nine, nine, nine for a lost God and
Ten, ten, ten, ten, for EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING

Opps... slipped my mind - sorry...

No Violent Femmes fans here, eh? S'alright...

New song...

Umm....

Don't it always seem to go...
That you don't know what you got till it's gone...

Don't it always seem to go...
That you don't know what you got till it's gone...
They paved paradise,
put up a parking lot.
