Odd question about tank water

I see people post saltwater tanks for sale. Can a tank be used as a freshwater after it's been used for a saltwater.

I just didn't see why not.

As far as I know yes. I would just clean really good with vinegar/water, then rinse well. Should be good to go for freshwater after that.
