one more question for every one that does use them, do you double it up as a hospital tank also or do you have a seperate tank of a hospital tank and for every one that doesnt have one do you use med's in your main tank?

i double it up as quarantine and hospital

I definitely use one and it doubles as a hospital tank (no new fishies unless I don't have ailing ones! )

I think having one is probably the best advice you can give to someone new to the hobby. Saves so much trouble and strife!

I have no other tanks, though I am considering getting a 10 gallon as a hospital tank... I will only have Weather Loaches in my 45G, they are pretty hardy creatures plus I only have one tank so... its my baby!! I guess my only worry will be when I get them from the store

I wouldn't dream of not having a Q-tank. In traveling the forum circuit every day I see and hear on a daily basis of tanks full of beautiful fish being wiped out with the addition of one single sick new fish. It's just far too risky, IMO.

I will be using my QT tank just as soon as I stop buying corals and actually buy Fish... I have a 10gal all ready to be filled but I just can't stop the coral addiction.. One of these days I will get a Blenny of some sort and a few cleaner Shrimp..
