No slack catching here. The truth is the truth. That reminds me...years ago, we used to call them Chinese apples. I have no idea why.

No doubt they are marketing "gold". My wife thinks I am weird because I can not stand them. Oh yeah I never watch TV except for the news sometimes in the morning. Melissa begged me to finally sit down and watch the bachelor with her last night. What a bunch of garbage. I told her I would rather watch cartoons with the kids. I have seen Lost before. (last year) and thought it was pretty cool. It is not that I do not like TV it is just I have no time. I am only posting here because I am "working". Are we suppose to be talking about pomegranates or something?

On the Opra show, has anyone seen "O" the Opra magazine? I'm just going to pick up a copy next time I'm at the market. Maybe I can find out what kind of soup is in this year.

By the way. pomagranates or however you spell that are good, but not as good as the chocolate fudge cake with fudge-covered ice cream I just had.

i usually break it in half, and keep breaking it in half. as u break it it should expose some of the thingies and i usually just rub them out.

as for the seeds, their kinda bitter, so sometimes i just suck out the juice.. but it seems like such a waste

We juice pomegranates at my house. They add a nice flavor to orange and other juices. The POM juice at the store is really expensive but when you consider the pain in the neck that peeling and juicing is the price is more understandable.

I spent some time in California as a kid, and we had a pomegranate tree at our house. Me and my sister would just peel the skin back, take a big bite of a bunch of seeds, chew on it a while, and then spit the seeds out. We probably swallowed a bunch of seeds, ate the white stuff that separates the 'lobes' ... all of it.

Funny, I don't remember being permantely stained tho. I guess in the summertime, we just always had big pink smiles =)

Oh.. we also had a kumquat tree too, we just ate those whole, seeds, skin and all. Those were tart little buggers!

wow, I never knew they were so popular! I'm another one of those who doesn't watch much TV (accept when I'm tired but can't sleep. I think TV dumbs my brain down enough to let me fall asleep). Ah well, definatly a tastey snack that will make you work for it so it lasted a good while. I think next time I'll go with a peach though because I'm lazy
