Let's see, NBC 2 shows a story about a "2" in the eye of a hurricane? The NOAA link doesn't work as well. I'm guessing hoax.

I believe the image isnt forged however I must agree with lyquidphyre, because we often see the symbol for the number two in everyday life it is easier for us to distinguish.
I fail to see a point in hoaxing it though.
