I'm not sure of the policy of posting "news articles" but I thought this one is more than relevant to this forum.

I think it is really sad that we have to do such things to fix a problem that arguably we caused.

TThey're doing something similar in Switzerland to protect melting glaciers,.

Yeah but to answer someone's question I don't think they're trying to reduce water temperature, rather reduce the sun intensity. Seems strange, but I guess they know what they're doing.
