Satellite photos of tsunami

Before and after photos from indonesia, you really can't fathom ho it must have been for the people inthe tsunami's path, even with the photos, but the photos will really bring it home. There are 13 sets, I had to stop looking after 2.

Oh, [acronym:f2ff980f5b="By the way"]btw[/acronym:f2ff980f5b], I have no idea if these are hoax photos or not, they could be I suppose, but I don't think so, if you find evidence that they are, please post that here.

Those photos are just awesome. The destruction is unimaginable...I saw those images plus many others used by The New York Times in this feature- http://www.nytimes.com/packages/khtm...A_FEATURE.html and on multiple news channels so I don't doubt them.

These pictures really drive home the full scale of destruction caused by the tsunami. They eerily remind me of the before/after pictures of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Just unbelievable.......

When I see those pics of dead children, I just can't help but think, what if that were my little girl.

I am so blessed........................................... ..........

I know what ya mean revtree.
It makes ya want to go and give your kids a big hug and tell them how much you love them.....and I did.

This is terrible.
May god be with them.

There's tons of sites with the videos etc.
This one's not too bad --> http://films.krayzee.com/Tsunami/Tsunami.html

I read an article the other day talking about the worst hit areas were the ones where the mangroves were pulled out or the coral reefs were destroyed to make room for prawn farms or beachfront hotels. The natural barrier they create saved many lives by breaking up the waves (in the areas that still had them).
