Question Slight Fish Tank Odor

I have a slight fish tank odor, and by slight it is almost none. When I first walk into my room I can notice it but 2 minutes later I get used to it. My tank is established, all the levels are fine (checked it) but it still has an odor? Anyone know whats wrong? I clean my tank once a week and do 30% water changes.

They always have a bit of a smell. I guess it others some people more than others. You could do 25 to 50% water change every day or every other day, and see If that helps. Al long as your test comes out ok, I wouldn't worry.

Chemi pure elite helps a lot. It could also be that your carbon needs to be changed.

Try wiping all the under edges of the inside tank rim and lid edges and creases. When tearing down my last tank I was surprised there was a little gunk around in there and it was yucky brownish and a little smelly.

Little moist misdirected flakes or pellets of food and stuff is just a little smelly in general. So maybe that could help. I used a dry paper towel just so I could see what I had been missing!

New to FW fish? Need some info on keeping fish?
