2cvbloke has fishy dreams
Slugs and snails...

But no puppydog tails...

Anyway, I found a rubber dinghy in my shed of my new house (I thought it was a tarpaulin) this afternoon and promptly brought it in for cleaning up, but of course it was populated with about 6 or 7 large slugs and a small snail. I rinsed them off in the bath, some got caught up in the plughole and that slowed the waterflow, and I noticed that there 4 or so still free which were moving quite happily under the inch of water!!!

Now, does that mean that the average garden snail or slug could survive underwater, or would the little sods drown?

In the end I just got the ol' salt out and let them dissolve, then threw their remains down the loo...

I don't like garden snails, they ruined my last crop of lettuce and spinach before I moved into my old house...
