Snail shipment didn't make it. but why?

I have been shipping tons of snails and all of them except 1 shipment made it fine.

I sold some bladder snails, normally a very hardy snail, by placing them in a damp paper towel with a little water inside a breather bag while outside temps were warm.

All my other snails did perfectly this way. It arrived within 2-3 business days just like all my other snails.

It was a set of 50+10. Only 2 survived.

Any ideas why this is?

depending where they shipped from and where the were shipped too was there a big temperature change ?

Not that I can see. I think the buyer may have left them on his porch or something for a long time.
