Someone has a virus

Now its not that big of a deal to me but someone who frequents this site had gotten themselves at least one nasty little e-mail virus. I know because the e-mail address that is used to send out message notifications over the night has gotten at least 4 virus e-mails sent to it.

This often happens when an e-mail virus is gotten on your computer and it then goes thru your outlook inbox, outbox or favorates and sends itself to everyone you communicate with.

I suggest everyone visit http://housecall.antivirus.com and verify their system is clean for your own sake.

I work in IT at a medium sized company, and we've stripped off thousands of virus attachments in the last day or two... but that's pretty normal. There are some new nasty ones though!

My work email, with an address that is on our web page, and is in hundreds of address lists had quite a few this am. Somewhere over 200 That is on top of the huge amount of spam we get anyway.

Thank the tech gods for email filters!

My filter removed over 700,000 virus attachments from emails last MONTH. Spam and viruses account for an average of about 92-95% of our incoming email. More on weekends because spammers keep their computers spewing it out...

My Norton Antivirus has been behaving strangely lately. It doesn't want to download the new definitions for some reason...possibly I need to reinstall Live Update. I did go to the Symantec site and do their online scan last night. Came up clean so I'm guessing I am not the one it's coming from.

My son is IT for a company in [acronym:d1e98d0bfd="Calcium"]ca[/acronym:d1e98d0bfd]. He messaged me today to warn me about it and to have me make sure and do my update. He said it was nasty stuff.
