Humic acid is available on Amazon and other online retailers. I'm interested to see what happens with leaves. Supposedly each tree has different therapeutic properties for its leaves. I ordered a bunch of alder cones to try them out. I have shrimp in about 5 tanks now I think. They're breeding like mad in my guppy tanks. I got all but about 4 shrimp from someone local to me who raises them so I knew they could handle my water. It seems biofilm is important for them too.

Pistos are eating well and constanly exploring the leaf litter and caves(pots)..
Since I can clearly sex one male is it(or it is) possible they are breeding already?
The male has colored up very nicely so far for only over 1".

The angels eat till they almost burst!
Spoiled for having good company...

Slowly bringing down TDS level in 55 to 'normal '#s.
My tap is 300+...

If you have been feeding them , then clean water would be most important to me...

GBR fry need to be moved,The apistos have indeed breed as I moved a pot this am and aprox.10 small dark eggs were on the back , so the angels need to go out of this set up also...
Got some more organization/modifications to work on also....

Gillie says no need to move fry???
Even in a 55 with 1 male and 5 females???
The girls have been pretty tough lately...

Kind of feeling cramped (for my fish) lately so I hooked up trailer and went off to Petco for DPG on Sunday(day 1 of sale)!
Came home with a shelf from lowes and 4 @40b and a 20 tall...
See what happens when you get new fish???

Snow day today so I set up new 20tall and 2 of 4 @40g!
Angels moved out of 55g to 40b because I found eggs from the apisto yesterday!!!
Hoping they are still 'somewhere' in the tank ??
Found one angel dead?
They have been pretty tough on each other .
And the pisto have no love for them!
I saw ragged pectoral fins the week end before Xmas and started treating the 55 with Kanaplex and Furan2 just to be safe...
3 treatments in last 6 days...
So 9 angels in 40b now to grow out and pair...
Kind of excited for these angels after finding this video;

Going to move some GBR fry to other 40b from the 2@ 20tall and then upgrade some from 10s to the 20ts.
Moved one group to new 20t already.

Couldn't fit the other 2@40b in fishroom#2facepalm so will wait till I move the water heater in fishroom #1 to set up.
Got the stuff needed and a plan so ....maybe this weekend?
Thinking of catching my orange laser cories from my 180...

I wiped out one store for 40b on day one!
On the stupid question topic after I payed for all 5 tanks and we(sales clerk and I) were leaving the store I turned and asked;
"Do you think these will fit in my ford escort?!"
I do this at lumber yard also!!
Pointed at the f250 v10 with the 16' enclosed trailer and saw the clerk sigh in relief!

I have been trying to be more efficient with my time...

The video on the angels floats my boat like HIGH tide!
It has motivated me for the angels...(they ARE special,now to see if they are any easier to breed then thier wild caught relatives)....

I added humic acid to a 50/50 ro/tap mix for the angels and they colored up in front of my eyes!!!
I will have to get a picture of them in dress.

The apistos seem to be exploring and breeding (I hope)...

1 male will be able to work this out????
