Sometimes I have stupid questions.

The friendliest place on the web for anyone with an interest in aquariums or fish keeping!
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
My little baby Angel that looked like those with the reddish dorsal was killed I think from the pair in my 72G. They seemed ok to stay mostly far away from each other until it was dead. I would also love to see the video of YOUR fish. Can't wait to see it happen.

Angels are loving the 40B!!!
The A.hongslio are end to end in the 55...
Wish I could see what was going on but with leaves and flower pots they are loving it...
Ordered up some 'stock' for fish room;
Meds(850 grams furan 2 and 11 packs of kanaplex) ,Mergus cichlid atlas vol.1 http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51XVPBKJ6NL._SX318_BO1,204,203,200_.jpg supposedly new in shrink wrap($$$),brine shrimp eggs like sini, and 4 more aqueon pro heaters...
I wiped out my LFS for meds after I got the angels and thought it better to have on hand...;)
I will probably not be needing them again as a new fish in my house is rare , but felt better safe then sorry???

Moving water heater this weekend hopefully and then setting up other 2@40b ...
No big hurry as I need the heaters(some) and am making room in tanks as we speak.
Soon there will be NO single pairs of GBR separated...
Only 3 left, just wanting them together in one tank or figuring who to mix them with.
Beast and yellow(3 pairs in 75g) or with Poppas Jayhawks in a 40B...
I have added 3 of my females to the Jays already so there are 4 pair and one extra female..
Need more cover in the 75 but that will probably be where they go...
That leaves me 3@20tall,9@10g,4@5g for fry...
8 out of 13 5&10s have fry now and 20s are stocked...(y)
making room as we speak...
:whistle::whistle::whistle::whistle:

Zeros rams are breeding like a storm in their 40b...
I am working on raising first round of their fry...(y)

fishroom breeding/grow out tanks;
1@ 75g ram breeder
1@55g Apisto hongslio(hopefully breeder)
1@33long grow out GBR (now)
3@20 tall grow out GBR(now)
9@10g mostly fry under 1 month(GBR)
4@5g fry grow out under 1 month (GBR)
40b Red fin zebra angels(F1 manacapurus??)
40b grow out(GBR)
40b Poppas Jayhawks breeder
40b Zeros GBR breeder
30b 11 male 'yellow'GBR(going soon)
30long less then 20 pearl gourami fry( close to month old)
2@40b to be set up....

:nono:

Ok I think I have a sneaker male in the apistos...
Seems close to as large as alpha male but no red.
Fins are probably longer then females and "he" was dancing with another female and left quickly when alpha arrived...
Lots of tail shaking and such going on amongst ALL the pistos...

Angels are quickly winning me over as they are like little puppies following me around the tank.
Their tank is in center of room so they always think I'm there for them on one side or the other!!!

Many eggs and hatches for GBR...
Lost one of my best males of a breeding pair...
Their last hatch is precious cargo for me now...
Female added to Poppas Js(40b) and all other separate pairs(3) added to the 75g.
75g was a hot box with new additions!
All 5 and 10g are for fry only as of now...

Water heater move complete and fishroom mod in action!

TGIF!!!
Everything ordered arrived this week except BS eggs.
Heaters,meds and the BOOK!
The BOOK oh yea!!!(y)
Perfect ,brand new in shrink wrap(well not anymore...)
Mergus Cichlid Atlas volume 1 by Romer came just today!!

So I think I want to pull the male and his female A.hongslio.
The book says a sneaker will be undetected by the alpha.....
I clearly don't have a sneaker... And the lone female not in the trio is staying by his side.
I think they would do well in their own tank.
Got a little more reading to do though to know for sure...

Got more work to do in fish room hopefully between moving fry that should have been moved last weekend...

Let me know what you think of the book. It's on my Amazon wishlist.

Y'know bandit, is this your overarching thread? I know AA has a lot but I feel like a bandit thread would be the best. You've got as much going on tank-wise as anybody.

^^Thanks sini!^^
This is my "fishroom " thread.;)
The description of this forum is "Posts that do not fit elsewhere but are related to aquariums and fish keeping in general " , seemed to fit me to a T!

This seemed best place for me to talk about "what I did today"(I have never posted on that thread but read it daily...) in any of my OVER 1,000 gallons now :facepalm: that include ;
breeders , fowlr , reef and fw DT.:nono:

With 2@120+ marine and 1@180++ fresh water just figured I might be a little "off topic" anywhere else !!:dance:
Keep adding till you are over 1,000(or see my profile?)

Most of the time I will be in breeder mode,
but if I come up with any major breakthroughs I can post in proper thread(GBR breeding help,....).(y)
Maybe I will post pics of my water heater move???

And sometimes I have stupid questions ....
For real.:thanks:

Moved GBR fry all born in Nov(3 different 20tall grow outs) to a 40b with aq70 this am....

Still have to set up 2@40 and upgrade 3@10 of fry...

Lowered water level in 55 with pistos and alpha male is on the patrol around whole tank....
Kind of want to pull pair to 20t?????
Got PFS and 2 sizes of black blasting....
The book says white sub.....(why I got pfs today;))

So bandit are you intent on breeding those angels? If you are and if I get more space I'd definitely like to trade at some point if you're interested (y)

Said fine sand preferably white for A.hongslio.
Not really new book just new for me.
Volume 1 was first published in 2000?

The book gets two thumbs up so far.
Multiple pages of info on each species and many pictures.
Not just your one page large picture 2 paragraph descriptions...
All about the angels sini!
I really think they are tank raised manacapuru reds!!!
They are such active fish in their 40b!

Thank you sir...
Love my hobby!

Wow! Looks good! How many eggs does each apisto spawn hold?

This is only the second time I found eggs?
First time was only 10-20 orange..
I really think I caught them in the act tonight.;)
They were FUMING,and the lights went out(timer) which would be perfect timing...
I think I even heard Barry White coming from the tank!:nono:
Barry White - Can't Get Enough Of Your Love, Baby - MusicPlayOn

My caucs laid 50-75 eggs or more back when I started with the rams...
They always laid on top inside of pot but these dam hongslio keep hiding behind and UNDER the pots in the coco fiber...

My caucs. Do both... Triple fire reds under the pots in pits. Orange flash.. Top of their cave.

Yea mine were orange flash.
if I had known then what I know now I would have paid more attention to the apiostos...
Fortunately as great as apisto are rams are way more popular and easy to sell...
You can breed the best fish in the world ,but if no one wants them then what?
Kind of why I got the angels along with the hope they are special....
I hate to say , as I am not even really beginning with the angels and apistos yet, but I crave a popular live bearer.
I miss my showa swords...:hide:
And pulling FRY every day!!!!

Montezuma swords are awesome.... Fueling the fire.
